While Teens Vote, Too officially
kicked off in 2006, Kids Vote, Too (the Elementary & Middle School
program) officially began in Okaloosa County in 1998. Teens Vote
evolved out of a desire for the High School students to have a more
suitable name and structure for their grade levels. Both Teens Vote,
Too and Kids Vote, Too are dedicated to building and reinforcing a
life-long interest and habit in voting. With that in mind, Teens
Vote, Too and Kids Vote, Too will conduct mock internet elections in
all Okaloosa County Public Schools during Presidential and
Gubernatorial election years.
Internet voting, along with a variety
of other activities are coordinated by each school's Teens Vote, Too
Coordinator. For a list of this year's Coordinators,

Here's What Students, Teachers and
Parents Are Saying About Teens Vote, Too!
During last year’s elections held at
Crestview High School, I was filled with a great feeling of pride.
Finally I had a helping hand in our great nation. It was a great
experience because people are always saying something like “You’re
too young to vote so you don’t matter,” but we got to participate in
the single most prideful event that defines this country.

When I was voting, it made me feel
like I had a say-so about who is the leader of our nation. It made
me feel like I could make a difference. Also, that I have power. I
think it is a great experience for everyone to have.
