Pat
Hollarn has resided in Okaloosa County since 1971 and has served as
Supervisor of Elections since 1989. Her tenure in this office has been
marked by great advances in technology, from the introduction of the
first PC in the office to participating in pilot programs on internet
voting.
During her years of service as Okaloosa County's Supervisor of
Elections, Pat has upgraded the county's voting system to its current Diebold Accu-Vote system blended with the TSX touch screens for
disabled voters, and devotes a great deal of time and effort to voter
education. Even before "Motor Voter," county-wide awareness programs
increased voter registration greatly. Her introduction of KIDS VOTING,
later revised to KIDS VOTE, TOO, has been very successful in training
students to be voters for life.
Pat is
married to Tom Hollarn, retired AF pilot and current Lockheed Martin
flight simulator instructor, for 47 years. They have three daughters,
six grandchildren, and two friendly Dobermans. As a former music
teacher, she especially enjoys her piano, also NY Times Sunday
crossword puzzles, working out, and reading lots of newspapers.

Election Reform since 2001, working closely with congressional staff
as well as other election administrators on election laws. She
testified on several issues in Governor Bush's Task Force on
Election Reform in 2001, and in December 2002 was appointed as one
of four Supervisors of Elections in an advisory panel to the
Governor's Task Force II on Elections.
